Finished Project Feelings Blog Post

 For the first few attempts of editing, it was pretty confusing how to use, but eventually got the hang of it. We had to change some of the things in our film opener to be more realistic because some of the parts wouldn't be possible without a actual movie set. I have learned the basics of using a editing software, and used multiple transitions I learned in class to help with making the film opener.

 The sound is good but needs a little tweaks in editing, we had to reshoot some clips to make sure the product was perfect

We have spent a total of an hour editing so far, but this screenshot is the beginning, Cheryl is giving me ideas on what to change within the video and I am editing it. Editing makes you realize some parts are a little empty and need to be changed to be able to feel right.

 For the editing, we used multiple transitions such as j and l cut to transition between scenes, we also used effects to further fix the lighting, the problems I had was getting used to using this editing software, but youtube tutorials helped.

Lighting Blog Post

 For lighting in my project I used my sister's ring light and my camera flash, since I want to film at night as well, I need to use light to make the scene visible. In post production we will correct the light settings as needed to.

Group Dynamics Blog Post

 Our group has been actively filming and gathering clips to advance to editing. We haven't started editing yet but have gathered many sound effects and planned our idea on what is next for our film opener.

Sound Blog Post

 The process we used for using the sounds is going onto royalty-free websites for free sounds and using them in our film opener, we used many sound effects and less music to make the film opener feel more immersive, as they are in the movie.

Color Use Blog Post

 The color I would use in my project would primarily have red and green colors to represent Christmas.

Not much color changes will be used to keep the lively tone of the setting.

Title Sequence Blog Post

 The making of our title sequence will be showing our title name on a whiteboard, in a bold font, the colors will be vibrant to show express happiness.

Challenges in Filming Blog Post

Some challenges in filming include having to retake clips over and over. If the clips don't come out the way you want them to you have to keep doing it until it's perfect. Another challenge is when an idea in the script doesn't work out and you have to change it in the middle of filming.

 The people who are represented in our film is the main character and their friend, both participating in a Secret Santa

- The situation is fair and everyone gets to play a role

- The story will be mostly representing the main character's kindness and affection to others to maintain a well and safe environment.

The supporting character in our film would have another character in the film that would do a secret santa with the main character, though the story would be primarily focused on the main character and their perspective of the Secret Santa. They would be wearing Christmas clothing and would have boxes with presents in them. Their overall attitude would be happy.

Finding the perfect places to film was a big job. We scouted different spots over the school, We've got everything from cozy indoors to scenic outdoors to bring the holiday vibe.

Our story started with brainstorming and went through lots of drafts, making sure it felt just right. We've put a lot of love into getting each character's journey and the Secret Santa spirit just how we want it.
